Joint press briefing with Show Racism the Red Card and Eircom League of Ireland

Eircom League of Ireland and Show Racism the Red Card held a briefing to the growing immigrant media that is now present in Ireland.The purpose of this briefing has been to assist immigrant media outlets to improve their sports coverage and coverage of professional football in the Eircom League ofIreland in particular.Migrant media outlets serving immigrants from Poland, China, Latvia, Russia, Italy and all over the world were present for the briefing.It also served to promote Eircom League of Ireland clubs and football within Ireland’s growing immigrant community as there are now 52 nationalities represented in the Eircom League of Ireland.Show Racism the Red Card is a key part of this programme and National Club Promotion Officer of the Eircom League of Ireland Noel Mooney said: ‘We are delighted with this partnership between the FAI, Eircom League of Ireland and Show Racism the Red Card’Already 6 Eircom League of Ireland clubs have launched their Show Racism the Red Card poster campaigns since March this year.Co-ordinator Garrett Mullan said: ‘We have already delivered a campaign distributing 30,000 posters with 10 clubs.
