On Sat June 1st from 12-6pm in Cobh a spectacular outdoor event takes place. Cobh Family Resource Centre with the hard working efforts from Cobh No Name club in association with Cobh Ramblers Football Club will host an Open Street Carnival. There’s a little something for everyone with Somalian Acrobats, Food Stalls, Childrens Entertainment, African Drummers, Brazilians dancers, face painters, a Fair Trade Fashion Show etc, like I said a little something for everyone. This event has been put together by the hard working Aislin Hegarty, Cobh Community Officer, members of Cobh No Name Club & Cobh Ramblers FC.The theme of the event is Integration, with International Groups combining with local musicians to mark World Refugee Day during the Carnival. If the event is a success it could take place annually.
