Anti-racism programme reaches out in Donegal

ONE DONEGAL CULTURAL DIVERSITY MONTHAs part of the One Donegal Cultural Diversity Month this month, Finn Harps Football in the Community will hold three events in County Donegal. This will be delivered to primary school through qualified coaches and players from the Club.  The aim of the program is to bring to children the importance of social inclusion to all . For the past two year the club have delivered the Show Racism the Red Card program through coaching to over seventy schools in Donegal and Finn Harps see this as a natural progression of that program. The locations for the program are Derrybeg on 11th Novemer, Milford on 18th November and Killybegs on 26th November.   At least five schools will participate at each location.  Finn Harps Captain, Packie Mailey, will co-ordinate the activates at each location.  Other Harps players and Coaches will be present and Certification of Participation will be presented to all participants.Finn Harps CPO, John Campbell who is organizing the program stated: “We are delighted to be part of this fantastic months activates.  We have been involved with Schools in Donegal for the past two years and we are delighted that we can host such an event at the three locations where up to twenty schools will participate.  I would like to thank the Schools for their assistance.  We would particularly like to thank Donegal CDB Peace and Reconciliation Partnership board who are funding this program and without whose assistance it could not happen.  This program and other programs which Harps are involved in shows that there is much more to Finn Harps FC than football.  We participate actively in the community life of Donegal.”Anyone seeking further information can contact John Campbell directly on 074 9130070, 087 6775100 or via email at clubpromotions@finnharps.com.
