Picture credit: Matt Browne / SPORTSFILEClick here for full reportTDs and Senators unite for Football Against Racism in Europe forthnightThis event is organised as one of the activities to mark UEFA Football Against Racism in Europe forthnight of action 12-26th October.  In all UEFA affiliated countries, activities are taking place at all levels of the game to promote the anti- racism message.      Sean Crowe TD in action with Senator Brian O’ Domhnaill as Oireactas members unite behind anti racism message.In Ireland, activities are being co-ordinated by the Football Association of Ireland Intercultural Programme and Show Racism the Red Card.The following activities are taking place:-          On the pitch demonstration at the Ireland V Germany game (large Unite Against Racism banner and children with Show Racism the Red Card signs)-          Airtricity League activities at Sligo Rovers, Dundalk and St Patricks Athletic (unveiling anti racism banners at games by fans)-          Football Association of Ireland Development Officers will deliver the Show Racism the Red Card workshop in 120 schools-          Interviewed Ireland soccer internationals Simon Cox, Darren Randolph, James Mc Carthy and David Meyler for the new Show Racism the Red Card DVD education packToday, 5 aside games involving members of Oireachtas and members of the Diplomatic Corps are taking place at the Irishtown Stadium in Ringsend.     Embassies represented include the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Lithuania and France.  Senators Brian O’ Domhnaill and Mark Daly (Fianna Fail), Paul Connaughton TD (Fine Gael), Aodhan O’ Riordáin TD (Labour), Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD and Sean Crowe TD (Sinn Fein) are taking part with participants from Show Racism the Red Card and the FAI. For more information, contact Garrett Mullan (086 3927650)
