Come to our ‘Tackling Racism’ seminar on November 17th

As part of a training programme over the next two years, we are hosting a seminar in Dublin on 17th November 2015.  The training programme will see Show Racism the Red Card with other projects in Holland, Denmark and the UK develop common methods to tackling racism in education and sport.  This meeting kicks of the programme of work and will involve an opportunity to gain unique insights with a distinctive range of speakers sharing expertise and experience.seminar_poster11am: Tackling Racism in Education– Teachers & Youth Workers using SRTRC resources in Ireland- Presentation of SRTRC UK research; arising from a 2 year study of 6,000 young people and their views of racism, diversity and related issues- Presentation of new SRTRC UK video; the video has a focus on anti-immigrant racism in particular and features interviews with immigrants in Britain as well as some top stars from the Premier League.- Promoting intercultural education and tackling racism1pm lunch2pm:Tackling Racism in Sport– Intercultural Football programme of FAI, the anti-racism rule- Tackling racism and sectarianism and the Irish Football Association’s campaigns- Input from Holland SRTRC and Denmark Players Union Details:‘Tackling Racism’ Time: 11am- 3pmDate: Tuesday 17th November 2015Place: Marino Institute of Education, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9Email: to attend
