An international partnership with like minded projects is near conclusion with our final meeting taking place funded project at meeting in Copenhagen. The project was funded by the EU Erasmus Plus programme through its national agency in Ireland Leargas.
The meeting included an update on the Hate Crime education work of SRTRC UK and was an opportunity to test a new anti-racism game from Ireland using the Seppo.io platform. It was the final meeting of the partnership and we concluded that we should continue to work together across borders and explore new opportunities.
Over the course of 2 years, we have involved many other organisations and individuals in sharing and learning about work that can be useful for education against racism. These included the Irish Football Association, Unison trade union, FIFPro- World Players Union, Players unions from Norway & Iceland, Feyenoord FC Fan project and youth ambassadors tackling racism.
There is great opportunity to deliver a good anti-racism initiative in football ahead of next year’s world cup in Russia. This is what we are now exploring.
